This policy explains what information LoomLance collects, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email, and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Business profile: optional details you add, such as business name, address, tax ID, and logo.
- Content you create: clients, projects, contracts, invoices, time entries, expenses, and any files (like receipts) you upload.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe and PayPal. We don't store full card numbers; we keep limited records (such as plan, status, and the last four digits) needed to manage your subscription.
- Usage data: basic analytics about how the site and app are used, and standard technical data like device and browser type.
- Communications: messages you send us (for example, via the contact form or email).
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate the service, process subscriptions and payments, respond to your messages, keep the service secure and prevent abuse, understand and improve how it's used, and, only if you opt in, send occasional product updates. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Analytics and cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences, and Google Analytics to measure usage in aggregate. You can block cookies in your browser; some features may not work without the essential ones.
4. How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run LoomLance, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage.
- Stripe and PayPal: subscription billing and the payments your clients make to you.
- Amazon Web Services: hosting and transactional email (e.g. contact-form delivery).
- Google Analytics: aggregate usage measurement.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition (with notice). We never sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (for example, billing records) to comply with the law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and private file storage. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
7. Your rights and choices
You can access and update most of your information directly in the app, export your data, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email info@loomlance.com and we'll respond as required by applicable law.
8. International transfers
LoomLance and its providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
9. Children
LoomLance is not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. If we make material changes, we'll provide reasonable notice. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
