Terms of Service

Last updated: June 23, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and LoomLance. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

1. The service

LoomLance is a software platform that helps freelance developers and small studios run the business side of client work: clients, projects, contracts, invoicing, online payments, time tracking, expenses, and reports. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Plans, billing, and trials

Solo is free. Paid plans (Freelancer and Studio) are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial that requires a payment method; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan renews and bills automatically. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Prices may change with reasonable notice.

4. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the content you create or upload (clients, projects, invoices, contracts, files, and similar). You grant LoomLance the limited license needed to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you. You are responsible for your content and for handling any personal data of your own clients in compliance with applicable law.

5. Payments to you

LoomLance lets you collect payments from your clients via third-party processors (Stripe and PayPal) or by sharing your own cash/bank-transfer instructions. Invoices and the underlying work are agreements between you and your client; LoomLance is not a party to them and does not guarantee payment. Processor fees and terms apply to those transactions.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use LoomLance to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam or fraudulent invoices, upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, scrape or overload the service, or resell it without permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Third-party services

LoomLance relies on third parties to operate, including Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Stripe and PayPal (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting and email), and Google Analytics (usage measurement). Your use of features that depend on these providers is also subject to their terms.

8. Intellectual property

LoomLance and its software, design, and trademarks are owned by us and protected by law. These terms don't grant you any rights to our brand or code beyond using the service as intended.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. It is not a substitute for professional legal, tax, or accounting advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LoomLance will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using LoomLance and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or to comply with the law. You can export your data before closing your account; after closure, we delete or anonymize your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or an in-app notice). Continuing to use LoomLance after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
